Second in a series of Slayers Tarot card designs being made by my friend Unoriginality. She asked me to help CG them, as I apparently am very, very good at it (well, she says better than her). She was the one who decided on most things -- like which Slayers characters corresponded to which cards. Needless to say, I agree with most of them. The High Priestess represents mystery, and being balanced between light and dark. UO chose the Lord of Nightmares (in her 'human' form, seen only in a TRY eyecatch and the NEXT opening), the personification of Chaos in the Slayers universe, the Mother of All, the Dark Lord of all Dark Lords, the Golden Lord, etc. As Creator figures go, she is pretty mysterious -- most people just assume she's just another level of Dark Lord. Lina Inverse was the first human in a long time to learn she actually represented Light as well as Dark. The High Priestess is typically represented as standing between a black pillar and a white pillar, and holding a scroll (with Tora written on it).
