One step up (or down...) from drawing original characters, my friend Katie taught me the great art of customizing action figures. For all of you who don't open the boxes, please look away now.
Melody and Riki
The original figures were Van and Hitomi from Vision of Escaflone (which I need to see...). Most of what I did was paintwork with model paint, and using a razor blade to remove the sword that came attached to the Van figure. I like the figures because they have the right eye colors for Riki and Melody, you can't see the tips of Melody's ears, and they're anime (how I normally draw Riki and Melody). I also like the sneakers on Melody... long story. The bad things was that Melody is not the type to wear a skirt, usually, she has longer hair, and it is darn difficult to change skin colors (Riki's skin should be a sort of a very pale lavender).
