I'm a crazy fan... I cosplay at movie premieres and conventions.

Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone

I'm supposed to be Cho Chang... who techincally isn't in the books until #3, but... oh, well. Failing that, I'm random Ravenclaw Quidditch team member... the robe is actually my graduation robe. The wand is a stick from Cassie's lawn, and the clothing I have on underneath is just a sweater, turtleneck and black pants... the patch is printed paper -- I was in a hurry.

Halloween 2001 and Star Wars:Attack of the Clones Movie Premiere

I'm Mirax Terrik, a character from the Star Wars Expanded Universe (the novels and comic books). My friends and I plan on wearing these costumes to premieres and conventions, so see how many 'true fans' there really are. The turtleneck and pants are the same as the ones I wore for Cho Chang's costume, the boots are my freind Cassie's old riding boots, and the jacket we got at a second-hand store.

We arrive on Friday. No time to get Zel's makeup on, so we only have 3 of 4 Slayers.	Saturday. Gourry's costume died, but now we have Zel.

Friday lunch at the local mall. Lots of strange looks, only one question of what we're doing	More mall fun. I found the DVD's!

My first real con! I had a lot of fun, as you can see. I had two costumes -- Chichiri (Fushigi Yugi -- If anyone asks, I'm manga Chichiri) and Amelia (Slayers). The Chichiri one was nearly all gotten from a second- hand store -- except the necklace (which I made from Mardi Gras beads and Christmas tree orniments) and the hat (my dad brought it back from Japan when I was a kid). The Amelia one I actually spent time sewing (especially that cape, and attaching all that pink ribbon -- and I ran out before I got to the shirt). I just wish I had better shoes. I like the bracelets for it, though. We found plastic pink bracelets, and glued rhinestones to them. I still wear one (I gave the other to Cassie (Lina/Miaka)

Halloween 2002

This year I was Zelgadis from Slayers -- that's me on the far right. Yeah, hard to tell. The shirt, belt, cloak, and turtleneck are venerated cosplay items. I used shirt and belt are from Chichiri, the turtleneck was from Mirax and Cho, and my friend Jennie (on the far left as Lina Inverse in her novels costume) made the cloak to go as Zel last year (I lined it). The pants are mine, the gloves, boots, and clasp were bought (the clasp was another Christmas tree orniment -- those are useful!), as was the wig -- it was metallic and shiny! The 'rocks' on my face were liquid latex and cornstarch -- someone suggested it at the con. They did not take off my eyebrows, though it felt like it. Thanks to Cassie (Amelia, next to me. Most of her costume was mine) for applying it. Also note Kim, as Naga the White Serpent, between Lina and Amelia.
